Arsenal 1 Tottenham Hotspurs 1

The last North London derby at Highbury ended all square, in a tough fought battle. The draw was a fair result as Spurs were pretty good in the first half. Aaron Lennon was very threatening, and was probably the most dangerous threat I've seen to our defence all season. Flamini, who has kept Beckham, Juve and C Ronaldo at bay couldn't cope with him in the first half which is pretty good testament to the spurs nob.
Second half saw a controversial goal from the lillyshites. Now this is a weird one, coz if it had been the other way round I would have been shouting at our players to carry on, which Spurs did. The problem I have is that the ref paused and checked the players were ok, which in itself isn't a problem, but it gave the impression to everyone that he was going to blow his whistle, which from watching the highlights you can see a couple of Arsenal players slowing down, most importantly Flamini and Djourou, which resulted in Robbie Keane being free in the box to score. I know everyone will say you have to play to the whistle but it's just annoying.
TH14 got a deserved equaliser, and if we had a few more minutes I believe we would have got a winner. Main problem was Wenger got the team wrong and should have started TH14 today. We needed a goal today, at present we don't need a goal Tuesday night in Spain. Well it's easy to be the manager from the terraces isn't it...

Arsenal 1 Villarreal 0

A pretty tame semi final was won comfortbaly by Arsenal by just one goal. Villarreal rarely threatened, though had a good shout for a penalty turned down. TH14 had a goal wrongly ruled out for offside. Toure scored just before half time after neat work by TH14 and Hleb. The second was dominated by Spanish time wasting though the Austrian ref tried his best to cut this down.

The highlight of the game was the grey squirrel that made a 10 minute appearance infront of us in the North Bank. The little one kept Forlan quiet, but ran off when Mad Jens walked over to it, fearing for its life.

Next up Spurs on Saturday lunchtime. Hopefully 3 points, look out for how many sitters Adebayor will miss...

Arsenal 3 WBA 1

The match theme was Bergkamp Day, and loads of free orange t-shirts were handed out before the game. You might be able to buy one from ebay as some sad people are selling them, even worse some people are buying them! The ground looked strange with a good proportion in orange. This may have had an adverse effect on the team as Arsenal played below par until WBA equalised in the 73rd ish minute. Bergkamp and Pires came on as subs just before the WBA goal. The last ten minutes were unsuprisingly down to Bergkamp, and he showed us all what he has done in the past 10 years for the club: Skill, fight and class but only in short bursts.

Can't be bothered to put anymore about the game. Martin Keown was on the pitch at half time. He gave some medals to what appeared to be the ladies under 16's. This age was confirmed after pervy discussion with Space Cadet.

More supersition seemed to be in force during the game. This seemed to involve my "brown zip up cardigan". Whilst wearing this in the first half, Arsenal were winning. I took it off in second half to expose my orangeness, only for WBA to score. Straight after I refitted the lucky brown garment and we scored twice. Bad news is that it is in the wash for tonights game v Villarreal...I have my excuses all ready
